I was just thinking about how awesome Yahweh is, and how sensitive he is in the way that he works with us. This brought to mind a passage in the book of Isaiah, it says:
His God instructs him and teaches him the right way. 27 Caraway is not threshed with a sledge, nor is a cartwheel rolled over cummin; Caraway is beaten out with a rod, and cummin with a stick. — Isaiah 28: 26-27
this passage is in the context of Yahweh talking to his people and letting them know of the future judgment that they are facing for their covenant unfaithfulness. He is discussing in the verse above, figuratively, how he works differently with different types of people and circumstances to accomplish his purpose in the best way. The principle I want to draw from this, because I think it is there 🙂 , is that God knows how to work with each one of us most effectively. Our personalities and circumstances are different, like the herbs in the passage above are different; there are different tools required for the different kinds of herbs. In the same way the LORD is sensitive to us, he works differently with each one of us depending on our various circumstances and personalities — but with the same goal in mind, to accomplish his purpose. I think the most comforting thing to me about this, is that HE works amongst his people; and that he is faithful to do this until he comes again.
