This will be short but not so sweet. This post is revisiting an issue I have discussed before relative to usage of so-called foul language by Christians.  If you are a Christian who feels liberated to use so-called expletives, you know f***, sh**, bi***, etc., then why not use ‘ Jesus Christ’?  Almost every pagan I work with uses His name as expletive. So what’s the difference between these other four letters or so, and using Jesus Christ in the same way? I’m sure it’s connotative usage, this symbol i.e. Jesus Christ, is viewed and used in the same way as other expletives. If context determines meaning and meaning is derivative of culture which determines semantic range, then why don’t these same Christians who use expletives be consistent and use Jesus Christ similarly?
